Decisions and the second draft: Broken Promises

 After much deliberation I have decided to combine the first and second action plans for the script into one: In this second draft Paden and Ned will instead be respected members of Dennehy's crime syndicate who are retiring soon - Dennehy is displeased at this and so sends them on a suicide mission, promising them his farm if they come back alive. Surprisingly though the pair complete the mission however when they return Dennehy refuses to give them the barn and attempts to kill them himself. The assassination attempt fails however and the pair begin to rally support against Dennehy so they can claim what's theirs.

 

This draft will be a thriller comedy instead of a straight laced western utilising martial arts instead of guns


In this second draft I will make sure to use slug lines more so the script can be more detailed and comprehensive as well as writing it on paper than transcribing it onto the PC so the quality of writing is better.


To begin the draft I will construct a mind map detailing the basic plot and progression of the film.

Core brand proposition

 I would like to do my EPQ project on directing, acting and screenwriting - all of which building up to film production. This is because it is my personal aspiration to become and actor-director-screenwriter in the movie business. To accomplish and train for this dream I will be making my first film as my EPQ, for this I will need to learn: How to write a compelling and full-length screenplay. How to direct a film within a certain period - for me this is the 6 weeks I have available to film within How to act an interesting character in a film How to craft bold and unique shots for my film. Milestone 5: Documentary

 Over the six-weeks holiday, the worst came to pass - My friend's farm burnt down due to the UK heatwaves. As a result I had no location on which I could make my movie and as a result I was not able to film my movie in the allotted time period.
